King George V: An Unexpected Innovator

King George V: An Unexpected Innovator In-Person

Registration begins March 30th. As the second-born son of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, Prince George made a career in the Royal Navy. After the death of his older brother Prince Albert Victor in 1892, he was put into the direct line of succession. Although being stereotyped as a “dull man,” King George V made many groundbreaking changes to the Crown during his reign (1910-1936). Join Royal Historian Traci Hoffman for her first talk in her House of Windsor series to learn about the King's life, and how he developed the current role of the British Monarchy.
