Monday University: The Power of Myth (Online) Online

What is a myth? Many today use the term to define something that is false. The fact is, however, that myth served those living in the ancient world as a way to understand their lives and surroundings as well as to get in touch with the realm of the spiritual. While it is true that each mythological tradition has unique characteristics, there are definite patterns which can be discerned. So, you will find that all cultures speak of divine beings, heroes, and great journeys. The great story of humankind is composed of many paths up the same mountain. Come and join us, then, as we take a comparative tour of the world’s mythologies. You may be surprised by what you discover!
