A Senior's Guide to Lowering Drug Costs In-Person

Description: Have you ever wondered if you could get a better price for your prescription medication? Or considered how and where to shop for meds? Have you questioned what role, if any, your Medicare insurance coverage plays in reducing your drug costs? You’re not alone. Drawing on extensive drug pricing research and nearly a decade of experience in the Medicare insurance industry, Andrew Preston offers encouraging and practical advice on how to lower your drug costs. He’ll review how Medicare drug coverage works and how it doesn’t work; how and where to obtain coupons and discounts; how to tackle high prescription costs with your doctor; how to find assistance programs; and even how to access some expensive drugs locally for pennies a pill without income guidelines, retail coupons, or “donut hole” cost sharing. This seminar is of greatest benefit to Medicare-eligible seniors, though it offers plenty of helpful information for anyone struggling with drug costs.  Presented by Andrew Preston, Independent Insurance Advisor and Analyst.

Library programs will be conducted in accordance with current state health and safety mandates/guidelines, which are subject to change. We encourage all attendees to observe these rules so that in-person programing may continue. We encourage masks at our programs and ask that family groups maintain social distance from other family groups. It is up to the individual to determine his or her level of comfort and acceptable risk when attending programs. If you are concerned about public gatherings, please do not attend.
