Monday University: The Iditarod Trail, the Last Great Race on Earth In-Person

Winter is here! That means mushers are preparing for the 2022 Iditarod! What is a musher? What is the Iditarod? Dog sledding enthusiast Eleanor Csizmadia can answer those questions. In this multimedia presentation, you will learn all about the last great race on earth, how it connects to Cleveland, and why dogs love to run, all from first-hand accounts of the race (including the 2022 race, which Eleanor will be attending in person!). Registration is required.

Library programs will be conducted in accordance with current state health and safety mandates/guidelines, which are subject to change. We encourage all attendees to observe these rules so that in-person programing may continue. We encourage masks at our programs and ask that family groups maintain social distance from other family groups. It is up to the individual to determine his or her level of comfort and acceptable risk when attending programs. If you are concerned about public gatherings, please do not attend.
