Leaders & Legacies of the Civil War In-Person

Finding Your Civil War Ancestor

October is National Family History Month, so it’s a perfect time for a program about using different types of genealogical records to find out more about your ancestors who served in the Civil War!  Genealogy and the Civil War are two of the most researched topics there are among those interested in history, so check out this talk to learn more about how you can research your own family’s Civil War history!  Speakers:  Allison Powell and Rebecca Hayward, James A. Garfield NHS.

Library programs will be conducted in accordance with current state health and safety mandates/guidelines, which are subject to change. We encourage all attendees to observe these rules so that in-person programing may continue. We encourage masks at our programs and ask that family groups maintain social distance from other family groups. It is up to the individual to determine his or her level of comfort and acceptable risk when attending programs. If you are concerned about public gatherings, please do not attend.
