Hidden History of Lake County, Ohio is a collection of stories behind the story of Lake County’s most well-known people and landmarks, along with stories that have been lost to time. The book tells of the early pioneers who settled near the coastline and farmed the rich soil, which led the county to be known around the world for its prime agriculture. It uncovers forgotten tales of one of the worst shipwrecks on the Great Lakes and the amusement park later built on the same tragic site. It reveals hidden passageways and secret tunnels.
