Rain Gardens 101

Rain Gardens 101 Online

Registration begins May 6. Rain gardens are not only beautiful but functional. They help control stormwater runoff (rain) from hard surfaces such as roofs and driveways by holding it in place to soak into the ground slowly. In addition, the roots of the plants and soil help to filter pollutants the stormwater collects along the way. Stormwater pollution is the number one source of pollution on our waterways. Anyone can plant a rain garden!

Natalie Gertz-Young from Lake SWCD will talk about the importance of rain gardens at this online workshop.

This program will be a live Zoom event. Details on how to join the meeting will be sent directly to registrants in an email at the time of registration. Please check your “Spam” folder if you do not see the email.
