Monday University: Victory Gardens in WWII Online
Registration begins May 17. Food Historian Sarah Wassberg Johnson will explore the use of victory gardens in World War II. She’ll explore how publicized the idea of victory gardens became, even featured in the 1942 Sunday New York Times. Using propaganda posters, Wassberg Johnson explains victory gardening in the context of the war as well as who was and who wasn’t targeted by propaganda. Learn all about this interesting time in America from food historian Sarah Wassberg Johnson, who has been featured on the History Channel, CNN, and NPR.
