Bloody Sunday 1972 Online
On Sunday, January 30, 1972, British troops opened fire on a civil rights demonstration in the city of Derry in Northern Ireland, killing 13 people. This tragic event accelerated spiraling violence of the period of Irish history now called "the Troubles." Dr. John Foster of the Adult Information Services Department will present a public lecture describing the events, what led up to them and the terrible consequences that they wrought.
