The Battle of Midway Online
On June 4th, 1942, the U.S. Navy and the Imperial Japanese Navy fought one of the key battles of the Second World War near Midway Island. The result would decide the fate of the war in the Pacific. Dr. John Foster of the Adult Information Services Deparment of Mentor Public Library will tell the story of the battle and of the incredible heroism of the sailors and naval aviators who achieved victory that day.
