A Brave Face: Author Visit with Barbara Marlowe Online
This program will be held via Zoom. Once you register, you will be emailed the Zoom link to join the event. Registration begins July 22nd. Join author Barbara Marlowe as she shares how a single newspaper article changed her life forever. Hear the inspirational story of a woman who moved mountains to provide medical care for an Iraqui girl badly burned during a roadside attack. After seeing a picture of four-year-old Teeba Furat in the newspaper, head and hands covered in burns after a roadside bombing in the Diyala Province of Iraq, Marlowe felt the pull of a love that reached across cultures and continents. Get a firsthand account of this amazing story which forms the basis of Marlowe's book, A Brave Face.
