The Garfield Family and MPL: A Conversation with Lucretia & James R. Garfield In-Person
REGISTRATION BEGINS: October 29. Join widow Lucretia Garfield (portrayed by Debbie Weinkamer, Lead Volunteer-JAGNHS) and her son, James R. Garfield (portrayed by Alan Gephardt, Seasonal NPS Ranger-JAGNHS), in 1910 as they reminisce about their roles in founding the Mentor Library.
Discover the history of the library from the mid-1870s through the turn of the 20th Century while learning more about the various ways the Garfield family contributed to create a resource that “enriches people’s lives and fosters a vibrant and informed community through diverse resources, services, and programs” and ignites “curiosity, connections, and success.”
