Brad Ricca: Who was Mrs. Sherlock Holmes? In-Person

Registration begins Sept. 17. Author Brad Ricca will introduce patrons to the incredible story of Mrs. Grace Humiston, the detective and lawyer who turned her back on New York society life to become one of the nation's greatest crime fighters during an era when women weren't even allowed to vote. She was the first woman U.S. District Attorney and the first woman consulting detective to the NYPD. So why have we never heard of her?
Brad Ricca is the author of "Mrs. Sherlock Holmes," nominated for a 2018 Edgar Award in Best Fact Crime. He is also the author of "Super Boys," winner of the 2014 Ohioana Book Award for Nonfiction. He teaches at Case Western Reserve University.
