Leaders & Legacies of the Civil War In-Person

The Battle of Antietam
The battle of Antietam (or Sharpsburg) resulted from Confederate General Robert E. Lee's first attempt to invade the North. This fight on September 17, 1862 ended up being the bloodiest single day in American history as approximately 23,000 soldiers from both sides became casualties in about 12 hours of fighting. This is an encore of a program originally presented in 2012.
