Total Eclipse of the Sun Extravaganza In-Person
Celebrate the sun and upcoming solar eclipse! Children ages 4 to 10 are encouraged to dress as the sun (in all yellow, a costume, or any way they interpret their vision of the sun). We will read a book about an eclipse, explain the process of an eclipse through a creative demonstration, complete a craft, eat sunny-colored sweet treats, and end with a pinata. Our patrons will also be given a favor to take home. This celebration will be so bright, you'll want to wear shades!
Please note that eclipse glasses will be distributed at the end of this program and only to those present. Each attendee may receive one pair of eclipse glasses.
