The Korean War: Stalemate In-Person
Registration fr this program opens November 7th
Between June 1951 and June 1953, the Korean War ground on in a bloody stalemate, as the United States and China came to terms with the new of era of limited war. Meanwhile, the election of Dwight D. Eisenhower as President of the United States in 1952 changed the course of the early cold war and led to the final ending if the military conflict in July 1953. In the final lecture in his series of the Korean War, Dr. John Foster will discuss the closing phases of the war, and the its profound influence on what came after, both in Asia and the United States.
